Location Overview — NanBeiHu

An ideal destination for younger students, NanBeiHu is a classic when it comes to introduction to overnight trips away from home. Located about mid-way between Hangzhou and Shanghai, it works best for younger participants, grades 4-6 offering a multitude of fun activities, all rather short, to keep the participants engaged and excited.

Food and Accommodation

Catered food - food is provided at the hotel’s restaurant and Karst will make sure to choose a menu that offers variety and a good nutritional value for young children. Most of the items are Chinese cuisine representatives. Breakfast are supplemented by Karst Climber with items most students would be familiar with ( toast, eggs, bacon, cereals & milk) .

During activity days, snacks, fruit and water are provided to keep the energy level high.

Camping Food - depending on the age of participants , camp cooking can be part of the trip, with participants partially or fully involved in the preparation, cooking and cleaning.

NanBeiHu Hotel - accommodation is provided within walking vicinity to most activities; The hotels have been recently renovated, they are in the mid range category and allow participants a comfortable stay for the trip.

Camping (optional) - if the program includes camping, the activity is run in one of the parks facilities, on flat grassy areas, with shared public facilities nearby.

Weather

Spring and Fall are fine times to visit NanBeiHu. A humid climate year-round, expect warm temperatures and scattered showers.

Transportation

Most of our NanBeiHu-bound groups come from Shanghai or Hangzhou, so only a short bus ride is required.

  • Driving from Hangzhou: 1.5 hours
  • Driving from Nanjing: 4 hours
  • Nearest HRS station: JiaXing / JiaXing driving to NBH: 45 minutes.
