HaiNan island is as tropical as tropical gets in China. The island is the prefect destination all year around with great weather, beaches, pretty calm waters and tropical forests.
And while SanYa and the resort areas along the coast can be quite busy, the middle of the island, is still quiet and mainly rural.
Recently HaiNan has made to the surfing map, with calm , warm waters and gentle swells, that are great for beginners.
Karst program start from SanYa and branch around to the beaches in the area, and towards the middle of the island for a bit of mountain hiking and forest exploration.
SanYa programs feature plenty of beach activities and fun, surfing and we like to bike around the less traveled roads, to see the middle the island.
We think it’s safe to say HaiNan is the perfect combination between a holiday and a school trip.

Food in HaiNan also has it’s own flavour, obviously plenty of fish and seafood, but also some other local specialities and deserts, with lots of mango and coconut. And with tourism in mind, the usual Chinese dishes do no lack, nor does western food.
